This sweater can be knitted from the top and down, and bottom up. Both alternatives are to be found in this pattern.
Size guide:
This sweater can be knitted in the sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL). The sizes are measured as such:
Chest measurements: 114 (120) 131 (137) 148 (160) cm.
Length: 47 (49) 51 (54) 56 (58) cm including the folded neck.
This sweater should have a positive ease of about 30 cm. The sizes are equivalent to a chest measurement of:
80-84 (84-92) 92-100 (100-110) 110-122 (122-134) cm
Measure yourself around your chest or the widest part of your torso to find the size that fits you the best.

This sweater is knitted in 3 strands of Mayflower Super Kid Silk. The yarn has a total length of 195 meter pr. 25 g.
The sweater in the picture is knitted in 3 different colors, but you can also knit the sweater with 3 balls of the same color.
Depending on which size you are knitting, your yarn consumption is 6 (6) 9 (9) 9 (12) balls, which is equivalent to 150 (150) 225 (225) 225 (300) g.

Knitting gauge:
This pattern has a gauge of 7 stitches and 11 rows pr. 10 cm in the loop pattern on a circular needle 6 mm after wash.
In general the knitting gauge can change after washing, so it is important to wash the gauge and measure it afterwards. This sweater will expand after wash, so therefore the sweater can feel a bit short and tight before you wash it.
Washing instructions:
It is important to remember that Mayflower Super Kid SIlk won’t tolerate normal machine wash or tumble drying. Instead, hand wash with lukewarm water. Wash with wool soap or normal hair shampoo.
