The Frederikke sweater is knitted from the bottom up.


Frederikke Sweater is a beautiful high necked sweater which is knitted from the bottom up in a checkered pattern. It has balloon sleeves which are knitted off the body of the sweater in moss stitch. It looks great over all types of clothes. If you have knitted a couple of beginner patterns and you're ready to learn a new technique or two, then Frederikke Sweater is perfect for you.


Sizeguide:

The size of this pattern varies from size XS-2XL. The measurements on the finished garment (measured on its widest) are as following: 

XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 

75 (78) 87 (99) 113 (124) cm.

This sweater should have a positive ease of 0-10 cm smaller than your bust circumference. It's a slim fit. If you prefer a more loose fit, you can always knit it in a bigger size. The size are designed to fit a bust circumference of:

80-84 (84-92) 92-100 (100-110) 110-122 (122-134) cm 

Materials:
Needles:
Circular needle size 7 mm, 40 cm and 80 cm.
Circular needle size 5 mm, 60 cm. 


Yarn: This sweater is knit in 2 strands of Drops air. Drops air has a length of 150 meters pr. 50 grams. Depending on what size you knit, you’ll need the following amount of yarn: 400 (500) 600 (600) 700 (700) grams. Equivalent of 8 (10) 12 (12) 14 (14) balls of yarn if you use Drops air. If you want the sweater to be a little longer, you’ll need 2 ekstra balls of yarn.

Knitting gauge:
To get your sweater to the right size, you’ll need to know your knitting gauge. Your gauge is how many stitches and rows measures 10x10cm. 

This pattern calls for a gauge where 18 rows and 10 sts in square pattern.
